Train Drivers’ Access

300m of Drivers’ Access Platforms

In a collaborative project with Balfour Beatty Rail, SEVA Rail and B Keogh Construction, we have recently completed 300m of Train Driver’s Access Platforms and Walkways at Portsmouth & Southsea and Guildford depots.

Ranging in size from 10m to 55m, the Drivers’ Access Platforms were constructed at our Suffolk base in 3m modules before being transported – fully assembled – to site for quick and easy installation. The contractors that would be working onsite to install the platforms were invited to our workshop for operating and maintenance instructions.

One of our fabricators was on hand to assist during the installation itself, specifically to make the adjustments required where the track curved.

Drivers’ Access at Portsmouth & Southsea Depot

We supplied nine Drivers’ Access platforms from 10m to 23m at the Portsmouth & Southsea Depot along with 100m our TrackSafe TS-50 and TS-X Trackside walkways.
