GRP Solid Top Panels

Our GRP Solid Top Panels are a lightweight, chemical resistant, heavy duty option which is suitable for use when there is a need for a fully covered non-slip surface. This could be on ramps and walkways, a gully or a trench. As the surface is smooth and anti-slip it is particularly suitable for pedestrian traffic; narrow heels won’t get caught and it’s less vertiginous if the walkway is high up. It’s also easier for those using wheelchairs, buggies, trollies or suitcases. Since it has high load-bearing capabilities, it is suitable for use in areas that will have vehicular traffic.

Manufactured by the fusion of anti-slip Flat Plate to an Open Mesh panel, the extra layers add strength and protection from the falling dirt and debris. Interlocking panels can have a waterproof seal where panels meet which will provide for extra protection to the underneath.

GRP Solid Top Panels are considerably lighter than concrete and allow for significant savings on installation time, transport costs and labour. They’re also an ideal option for manhole covers – not only can they be lifted more easily, recessed handles and hinges can be installed to ensure they go back into position smoothly.

We offer a precision cutting service if required, but GRP is relatively easy to cut with a heavy duty jigsaw or chop saw. It can be cut into intricate shapes ensuring a good fit.

Our Solid Top Structural Panels are stocked in three options; Solid Top, Solid Top and Bottom (Sandwich Panels) or SafeSlab Interlocking Solid Top and Bottom which can be sealed to create a water-tight surface if required.
