Step on Safety is renowned for its RiserDeck® GRP Riser Flooring. It's a complete flooring solution for service risers, available in two styles: Solid Top and Mesh Grating.
RiserDeck® GRP Riser Grating is designed for easy installation within mechanical and electrical service riser vents and smoke risers. It's a high-spec alternative to traditional galvanised steel and plyboard service riser duct flooring. The complete system includes composite Channel, Angle and I Beam sections, to provide additional panel support. Simply cast into fresh concrete as the building is constructed, or retrofit at a later stage.
RiserDeck® Riser Grating is manufactured from durable fibre-reinforced polymers and is available with either a close or open mesh surface, both of which facilitate multi-directional spanning. The inherent strength of these panels is provided by alternating, bi-directional layers of glass fibre woven rovings, which distribute the imposed load throughout the panel surface. The glass fibres are impregnated with polyester resin binding agent, which also provides the necessary corrosion resistance. A silicon carbide grit is applied to the top surface to provide an effective anti-slip finish to this GRP Riser Flooring.
Structural Support System
To provide additional panel support in your GRP Riser Flooring, a range of structural fibre-reinforced polymer profiles are available, including Channel, Angle and I Beam sections.
All profiles are grey in colour and sold in 6m lengths as standard.
FRP Structural profiles are manufactured by combining a resin matrix with a fibre reinforcement, which is then formed and cured in a continuous process, creating a product of extraordinary strength and resilience. FRP Structural Profiles provide many benefits and mechanical properties matching or exceeding steel equivalents for service risers.
