Self Closing Safety Gates
At Step on Safety, our Self Closing Safety Gates have been designed and engineered to provide effective fall-protection from personnel accidentally walking into ladder-way openings and platform entry points. More than 15% of workplace accidents are caused by people falling from platforms and ladders. Our Self Closing Safety Gates are available with either left or right-hand swing options and with a standard high-visibility yellow finish. Manufactured from durable, corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free polyurethane, our proprietary Safety Gates have been tested to withstand a load in excess of 250kg, horizontally and vertically (EN ISO 14122-3).

Our Self Closing Safety Gates feature a uniquely-designed hinge that forces the gate to swing upwards slightly when pushed open. Gravity then ensures the Safety Gate swings back to its original closed position when released. This relatively simple design ensures that the Safety Gate is never accidentally left open by the operator. The gates do not have springs, cams, bearings or complex electrical components that could fail.

Our Safety Gates are maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant and feature a highly-visible yellow coating. They are incredibly durable and, for peace of mind, come with a 5-year product warranty. We offer four standard sizes. Please contact us to find out more.
